Terms of Enrollment

The commitments between The Foundry and each family — tuition, attendance, conduct, and care — governing every athlete's enrollment.

Version 1.0Effective November 3, 2026Accepted at registration

These Terms of Enrollment govern every athlete's enrollment in The Foundry, a program of APT Athletics. They summarize the commitments between The Foundry and each family. The full policies referenced below form part of these Terms and are available in the Family Portal and the Document Library.

1. Agreement

By completing registration and checking “I agree to the Terms of Enrollment,” the parent or legal guardian (“guardian”) agrees to these Terms on behalf of their family and athlete.

The guardian confirms that they are the athlete's parent or legal guardian and have the authority to enroll them.

These Terms incorporate: the Tuition, Payment & Refund Policy; the Attendance & Missed Session Policy; the Weather & Cancellation Policy; the Safeguarding & Media Policy; the Foundry Oath & Code of Conduct; the Concussion Awareness Information Sheet; the Privacy Policy; and the Participation Agreement & Waiver for the season.

2. Eligibility and placement

  • The Foundry serves athletes ages 6 to 16.
  • Athletes are placed in one of three development tracks: Foundational (ages 6–8), Developmental (ages 9–12), or Performance (ages 13–16). Placement is confirmed by the Program Director, following an evaluation where one is held, and may be adjusted to the athlete's stage of development.

3. Securing a place

  • An athlete's place and training days are reserved when the $100 deposit or full tuition is received and all required documents are acknowledged in the Family Portal.
  • Each training day is limited to 20 athletes. When a day is full, families may join its waitlist and are offered places in order.
  • An athlete may not participate in any session until the Participation Agreement & Waiver for the season has been signed.

4. Tuition

Tuition is charged per athlete, per eight-week term, at the following founding rates:

Access tierTraining days per weekFounding rate per term
Essential Access1$350
Extended Access2$550
Full Access3$800

Training days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Essential families select one day, Extended families select two, and Full Access includes all three.

5. Payment

  • Tuition may be paid in full at registration, or with a $100 deposit followed by weekly installments (Weeks 1–5) or bi-weekly installments (Weeks 1 and 3). All balances are completed by Week 5.
  • On each due date, a secure payment link is emailed and available in the Family Portal. Installments may also be paid by Zelle, cash, or check. A reminder is sent two days before each due date.
  • The $100 deposit reserves the athlete's place, secures the founding rate, includes the athlete's Foundry training shirt, and is credited toward tuition. It is non-refundable and may be transferred once to a later term or to a sibling.
  • If a payment fails, the guardian has three days to update payment. After three days, participation is paused until the account is current. Sessions missed during a pause are not credited or refunded.

6. Founding rates

Founding rates apply to athletes first registered on or before April 30, 2027, and are kept for as long as the athlete is enrolled in every consecutive term. An athlete who misses a term re-enrolls at the published rate at that time. Full terms are set out in the Tuition, Payment & Refund Policy.

7. Credits, scholarships, and sponsorships

  • Scholarships, sponsorships, credits, and codes are applied to the family's account in the order set out in the Tuition, Payment & Refund Policy, and never reduce a balance below $0.
  • Credits have no cash value, are not refundable, and may be used only by the family to which they are issued.
  • Scholarship and sponsorship awards are confidential.

8. Changing tiers or training days

  • Upgrades may be requested at any time in the Family Portal; the difference is charged, prorated by the weeks remaining.
  • Downgrades take effect at the start of the next term.
  • Training day changes take effect the following week, subject to availability.

9. Withdrawals and refunds

When the athlete withdrawsRefund
Before Week 1 beginsFull tuition paid, less the $100 deposit
During Weeks 1–250% of tuition paid for the remaining weeks, less the deposit
Week 3 or laterNo refund
  • Withdrawal requests are made in writing to thefoundry@theaptgym.com and take effect on the date received.
  • An athlete unable to continue because of a documented injury or medical condition receives a credit for the remaining weeks toward a future term.

10. Attendance and make-up sessions

  • Athletes attend their registered training days, arriving 10 minutes before the session.
  • Absences are reported in the Family Portal before the session.
  • Up to two missed sessions per term may be made up on another training day with available capacity, requested at least 24 hours in advance, within the same term.
  • Missed sessions are not refunded or credited.

11. Cancellations by The Foundry

Sessions may be cancelled for weather, facility closure, or safety. Cancellations are announced by 2:30 PM on the day of the session. A cancelled session is rescheduled within the term where possible, or credited to the next term.

12. Health and safety

  • Guardians provide complete and current medical, allergy, medication, and emergency contact information in the Family Portal, and update it promptly when it changes.
  • Athletes who are ill or injured stay home. Coaches may stop an athlete's participation at any time for safety.
  • Any athlete suspected of a concussion is removed from activity and returns only with written clearance from a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Athletes are released only to a guardian or an authorized pickup contact listed in the Family Portal.

13. Conduct

Every athlete takes the Foundry Oath and is held to the Code of Conduct. Conduct is addressed through correction, parent notification, suspension, or removal, as set out in the Code. Suspension or removal for conduct is without refund. Guardians are expected to uphold the same standard at all Foundry activities.

14. Photography and media

Athletes are photographed or recorded for program purposes only with the guardian's written consent, given or declined at registration and changeable at any time. Athlete names are never published alongside images.

15. Communication

Program communication takes place through the Family Portal, email from The Foundry, and the program's official team communication app. Operational email about registration, payments, safety, and reports is part of enrollment. Text messages are sent only to guardians who opt in; reply STOP to opt out.

16. Changes to the program

The Foundry may adjust schedules, locations, coaching assignments, and session content to serve athletes' development and safety. Families are notified in advance of any material change.

17. Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change materially, families are notified by email and in the Family Portal at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Changes apply from the next term unless a family agrees otherwise. The version and effective date at the top of this page identify the current Terms.

18. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Where these Terms and a referenced policy differ, the referenced policy governs.
