Reporting a Concern
Concerns are reported to the Program Director at thefoundry@theaptgym.com. Any concern may also be brought directly to the Designated Safeguarding Officer, in confidence. Staff who suspect abuse or neglect report it to the New York State Child Abuse and Maltreatment Hotline at 1-800-342-3720. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.

Destiny Franklin serves as The Foundry's Designated Safeguarding Officer. She receives safeguarding concerns in confidence, keeps a written record of each one, and ensures every concern is addressed promptly and appropriately. Families may contact her directly with any concern, regarding any member of the program, at any level.
- Receives concerns from families, athletes, and staff in confidence
- Keeps a written record of every concern and its outcome
- Reports suspected abuse or neglect to the New York State hotline when required
- Upholds the program's supervision and communication standards
Messages to the Designated Safeguarding Officer are not shared with other staff without cause.
