The Foundry

For Families

The Coaching Pathway.

Dedicated Foundry athletes can grow into Foundry coaches. Four phases, each with its own requirements, mentorship, and review by the Program Director, from first application to the Foundry coaching certification.

01 · The Pathway

From Athlete to Coach.

The pathway is earned, step by step. An athlete who shows the standard, in effort and in character, is invited by the Program Director to begin, and advances only when every requirement of a phase is confirmed.

02 · The Certification

Earned. Then Carried Everywhere.

Foundry Certified

Assistant Coach

The certification badge, as it appears on the athlete's profile

The Foundry Assistant Coach certification is granted when every milestone through the third phase is confirmed by a mentor coach and reviewed by the Program Director. It is not attendance. It is a demonstrated standard of leadership, safety, and craft.

Once earned, the badge sits prominently on the athlete's profile in the athlete dashboard and the Family Portal, and on the pathway board in the staff console. At 18, with a background check and a final review, it becomes the Foundry coaching certification.

An athlete who completes the pathway has not just learned to coach a drill. They have learned to hold a room to a standard.

03 · Why It Matters

What Your Athlete Gains.

01

Leadership, in practice

Coaching is the character curriculum applied. Coach-in-training athletes lead drills, guide younger athletes, and learn to hold a session to a standard.

02

Mentorship at every step

Every phase is supervised by a mentor coach and reviewed by the Program Director. No athlete advances on attendance alone; they advance on demonstrated readiness.

03

A credential that means something

The Foundry coaching certification is granted after a background check and a final review. It carries the program's standards with it, into college, work, and beyond.

When an athlete is ready for the pathway, the Program Director will say so. Families can express interest at the evaluation, or at any point through the Family Portal.
