The Foundry Oath

The Standard Every Athlete Keeps.

Iron Sharpens Iron · Proverbs 27:17

The Session Oath · Recited at the Opening of Every Session

I honor God in how I train and how I live.

I will be disciplined, humble, and teachable.

I will work hard and uphold the standard.

I reject pride, fear, laziness, and excuse.

I am being sharpened.

I am being forged.

I am Foundry.

The Meaning

The oath names what The Foundry forms before it measures anything else: an athlete who honors God, accepts correction, and holds to the standard when no one is watching. Speed and strength are developed here. Character is the foundation they are built on.

The Practice

Every athlete recites the Foundry Oath aloud at the first session of every term. It is how the standard is set before the work begins.

The Standard

I am Foundry.

Recited by every athlete at the first session of every term.
