THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDRY

The Foundry is a structured youth athletic development program designed to build strong, disciplined, and confident athletes. Our mission is simple: develop young athletes through intentional training, character formation, and measurable progress. Athletes ages 8–14 train in a focused environment where physical development and leadership growth happen together. Each session combines athletic performance training with habits that strengthen discipline, accountability, and resilience.

SPEED DEVELOPMENT​

Acceleration mechanics, sprint technique, and explosive power training designed to help athletes move faster and more efficiently on the field.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Age-appropriate strength training that builds athletic durability, stability, and total-body power while supporting long-term athletic development.

AGILITY & MOVEMENT

Movement training focused on coordination, balance, and change-of-direction skills that help athletes move with control, quickness, and confidence.

DISCIPLINE & LEADERSHIP

Athletes develop focus, accountability, and leadership through structured training, mentorship, and team-centered development.

THE FOUNDRY DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

Every cohort follows a structured 8-week progression designed to develop speed, strength, discipline, and leadership.

WEEK 1: ATHLETE EVALUaTION

Athletes are evaluated in movement mechanics, speed, coordination, and effort determine placement in either the Foundation Track or Performance Track.

WEEK 2: LEADERSHIP EVALUaTION

Athletes are evaluated in discipline, focus, teamwork, and accountability to identify emerging leaders within the cohort.

WEEK 3: MOVEMENT & SPEED FOUNDATIONS

Athletes begin focused training on sprint mechanics, acceleration, and athletic movement patterns.

WEEK 4: SPEED DEVELOPMENT

Training emphasizes acceleration mechanics, reaction speed, and explosive movement.

WEEK 5: STRENGTH FOUNDATIONS

Athletes build strength and durability through sled work, resistance drills, and bodyweight training.

WEEK 6: PERFORMANCE TRAINING

Athletes apply speed, strength, and coordination through structured drills and competition.

WEEK 7: PERFORMANCE TESTING

Athletes repeat testing to measure improvements in speed, agility, and athletic performance.Come anytime and enjoy your workout.

WEEK 8: FINAL TRAINING & LEADERSHIP REFLECTION

Athletes complete their final training session followed by a short leadership reflection where they discuss growth, discipline, and lessons learned during the program.

THE FOUNDRY CEREMONY

After the 8-week program concludes, athletes and families gather for The Foundry Ceremony, celebrating commitment, growth, and achievement.

THE FOUNDING COHORT

The first athletes to enter The Foundry will establish the culture and standard for the program.

The Foundry officially launches April 6 with a limited founding cohort of athletes ages 6–15.

Cohorts are intentionally limited to maintain high coaching quality, accountability, and focus. Athletes who join the founding cohort will become part of the foundation of The Foundry program.

How are coaches selected?

Foundry coaches are selected based on their ability to teach, mentor, and develop young athletes.

Coaches focus on:

• Proper athletic development

• Leadership and character formation

• Discipline and accountability

The Foundry is not simply a training program — it is a development environment.

Where are the training sessions held?

The Foundry operates at outdoor athletic fields across New York City.

Current training locations include:

• McCarren Park — Brooklyn

• Wingate Park — Brooklyn

• Juniper Valley Park — Queens

• Astoria Park — Queens

• Van Cortlandt Park — Bronx

Athletes train at a single assigned location for the duration of the cohort.

Will Athletes train at multiple locations?

Athletes are assigned to one primary location for the entire 8-week program to maintain consistency and coaching continuity.

Approved alternate-location makeups may be available when space allows

what happens if weather affects training?

If severe weather prevents a session from taking place, the session may be rescheduled or adjusted.

Parents will be notified in advance if schedule changes are required.

What is the leadership component of the program?

In addition to athletic training, athletes participate in Leadership Circles.

These guided discussions help athletes develop:

• Discipline

• Accountability

• Confidence

• Team leadership

The goal is to build strong athletes both on and off the field.

How do I secure my athlete’s spot?

Enrollment is confirmed after:

• Completing the application

• Submitting the $100 deposit

• Attending the parent orientation

Cohorts are intentionally limited to maintain coaching quality.

Once capacity is reached, enrollment closes.

Is this program safe for my child?

Yes.

All sessions are coach-led, structured, and age-appropriate.

Training focuses on proper movement mechanics, progressive development, and injury prevention to ensure athletes develop safely and effectively.

What if my child is new to athletic training?

The Foundry is designed for both beginner and experienced athletes.

Our evaluation system allows coaches to place athletes in the appropriate development track so each athlete can progress at the right pace.
